Pedestrian Upgrades Coming to SR 141/Peachtree Boulevard
Work is currently underway to make Peachtree Boulevard/SR 141 safer for pedestrians. The project includes the construction of approximately 2,900 linear feet of concrete, sidewalk, signal improvements, drainage, landscaping, retaining walls, and ADA improvements at various locations along SR 141/Peachtree Boulevard. Improvements will provide concrete sidewalk connectivity along the SR 141/Peachtree Boulevard corridor within the City of Chamblee limits. Here is the construction timeline:
Area 1: Longview Drive to Georgia Wholesale Nursery
- Construction will occur on the west shoulder of SR 141/Peachtree Boulevard from April 15th to May 25th 2024
Area 2: Pierce Drive to Chamblee Dunwoody Road
- Construction will occur on the west shoulder of SR141/Peachtree Boulevard from May 25th to June 12th 2024
Area 3: Chamblee Dunwoody Road to Broad Street
- Construction will occur on the east shoulder of SR 141/Peachtree Boulevard from June 12th to July 16th 2024
Area 4: Sexton Woods Drive @ SR141
- Construction will occur within the roadway from July 16th – August 6th 2024. Anticipate single lane closures and major delays during this time.
