We will be open for public assistance Mondays - Fridays 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Please be aware if actual court proceedings are taking place, we will not be able to assist you with matters outside of that court session until around 2:00 p.m. Court staff does not have access to a telephone and are unable to take calls on days when there are court proceedings. They will address phone or email inquires after 2:00 p.m. that day.

Responsibilities of the Court

The Chamblee Municipal Court is responsible for handling all misdemeanor traffic cases, city ordinance violations and certain state misdemeanor crimes in which prosecution is initiated by the Chamblee Police Department or other police agencies (such as MARTA or the Georgia State Patrol) for violations occurring within the City of Chamblee.

Staff

The Chamblee Municipal Court Bench is presided over by Chief Judge William Brogdon and Judge Moran and Judge Nusch will be joining the associate judge bench with Judge Jennifer Mann, Judge David Carter, and Judge Laurel Henderson. 

Staff also includes two part-time solicitors; one part-time public defender; and one court supervisor and two court clerk assistants, who report to the city manager. Additional clerical assistance is provided by the police department. Probation services are contracted out to Professional Probation Services, Inc.

Location

The Municipal Court has a new location. Both administrative and court hearings are handled at Chamblee's Public Safety Building, 4445 Buford Hwy., Chamblee, GA 30341.

If you are in need of a reset for your case, and this is the first request, it must be made made by noon on your scheduled court date. This is for both an attorney request as well as an individual request. If you miss your assigned court date, please contact the Court Clerk as soon as possible.

Appropriate court attire is required.
