About the Film Production OrdinanceThe City of Chamblee adopted a Film Production Ordinance to facilitate commercial movie and television projects that shoot in Chamblee. Georgia has succeeded in marketing the state as a location for film productions, recognizing the economic impact this industry provides, as well as the tourism it generates for local jurisdictions.
Chamblee offers a great mix of authentic and unique locations for filming: from quiet neighborhoods to busy city streets. Chamblee’s location in the metro area, proximity to Peachtree-DeKalb Airport, and vicinity to existing or planned film production facilities make it a great choice for any project. Chamblee residents or business owners who would like to have their property included in DeKalb County’s film-friendly registry can use the Film Locations Registry to submit an application. Please be aware, all productions, regardless of location of filming, must go through the film permitting process.
Our permitting process will ensure that proper standards are met, the public is notified of any impacts, and that the production company can maintain their schedule.
